The Faith of a Syrophoenician Woman (Mt 15:21-28)
24 ○Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre.7) He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret.
25 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an evil8) spirit came and fell at his feet.
26 The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
27 ○"First let the children eat all they want," he told her, "for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."
28 ○"Yes, Lord," she replied, "but even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs."
29 ○Then he told her, "For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter."
30 ○She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.

24 ○예수께서 거기에서 일어나셔서, 7)두로 지역으로 가셨다. 그리고 어떤 집에 들어가셨는데, 아무도 그것을 모르기를 바라셨으나, 숨어 계실 수가 없었다.
25 8)악한 귀신 들린 딸을 둔 여자가 곧바로 예수의 소문을 듣고 와서, 그의 발 앞에 엎드렸다.
26 그 여자는 그리스 사람으로서, 수로보니게 출생인데, 자기 딸에게서 귀신을 내쫓아 주시기를 예수께 간청하였다.
27 예수께서 그 여자에게 말씀하셨다. "아이들을 먼저 배불리 먹여야 한다. 아이들이 먹을 빵을 집어서 개들에게 던져 주는 것은 옳지 않다."
28 그러나 그 여자가 예수께 말하기를 "주님, 그러나 상 아래에 있는 개들도 아이들이 흘리는 부스러기는 얻어먹습니다" 하였다.
29 그래서 예수께서 그 여자에게 말씀하셨다. "네가 그렇게 말하니, 돌아가거라, 귀신이 네 딸에게서 나갔다."
30 그 여자가 집에 돌아가서 보니, 아이는 침대에 누워 있고, 귀신은 이미 나가고 없었다.
